APPRISE is now PENNSYLVANIA MEDICARE EDUCTION and DECISION INSIGHT (PA MEDI)
United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties proudly sponsors the PA MEDI Program
PA MEDI is a free service for any Medicare beneficiaries who reside in Lackawanna County. Our counselors are state trained and will help Medicare beneficiaries with any Medicare issue. We offer over the phone counseling for beneficiaries, assistance with appeals, assist beneficiaries with applying for PACE, PACENET and Extra Help, in addition to providing monthly "New to Medicare" classes.
Pennsylvanians with Medicare, have the opportunity to call for an appointment during the entire Annual Open Enrollment Period (Oct. 15, 2021 to Dec. 7, 2021). During this period each year, Medicare beneficiaries can join, switch or drop their Medicare Part D or Medicare Advantage coverage.
Medicare Part D and Medicare Advantage plans change the coverage and costs each year, so it is important to review your plan and compare it to others on the market that are available to Lackawanna County residents.
