As an approved Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Organization (PKSO) by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (PA DCED), the United Way received tax credits from eligible businesses in the form of Pre-K scholarships to help eligible families send their children to quality early learning centers.
So far this year, 136 scholarships totaling more than $282,896 have been awarded for the 2019/20 school year across four counties in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
